Both foils are similar in size:
- The Gong Sirus L has a 116cm wingspan and 1450cm2 of surface area.
- The Gong Curve H XXL has a 115cm wingspan and 1600cm2 of surface area.
The Curve H XXL gives me a bit more lift, allowing me to pump more relaxed. It also feels more stable. Timing the videos, the Curve H also seems a bit faster.
I’ve tried making sharp turns but didn’t notice much of a difference between the two. I’ve tried both in waves, and I had better results with the Gong Curve H, although I’m not yet an expert enough to see it clearly, but I understand that’s what the specifications say.
On the other hand, I’ve tried the Gong Curve H XXL as a wingfoil (something I’m also new to), and it also performed very well in light winds, lifting easily and riding very well.
