Getting the tip of the foil out of the water is relatively easy, but not falling afterward is not so simple. It helps to have a foil of an intermediate size—not too big and slow, and not too small. In my case, for example, I can do it well with the Sirius XL, but with the XXL, it’s much more difficult.
To do this, you basically only need to keep two things in mind:
The first is to approach the trick with speed and a high mast position. This way, with a normal turn without forcing it too much, the tip of the foil will come out of the water.
The second key is to avoid falling after the sharp turn. The trick is simply to position your back foot further towards the corner of the board (forward).
